The Seventh Annual Natural History of the Gila Symposium was held on the Western New Mexico University Campus at the Besse-Forward Global Resource Center. The events took place Thursday and Friday, Sept. 22 and 23, with assorted field trips on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2018.
Topics of the various presentations ranged from resource management, the botany and zoology of the area to policy, education and archeology. Archaeology presenters showed posters and diagrams about their subjects in the ABC Room, while sessions on resource management were held in the auditorium.
