At a ceremony on Monday, March 12, 2018, Magistrate Judge District 1 Maurine Laney swore recently elected Silver City municipal officials into office. Mayor Ken Ladner retained his position, as did District 2 Councilor Lynda Aiman-Smith and District 4 Councilor Guadalupe Cano. Municipal Judge Sonya Ruiz also returned to office and was sworn in.
