According to Randy Villa, Grant County Fire Manager, Saturday evening around 8:30, firefighters from the Cliff-Gila and Tyrone volunteer fire and rescue stations were called up to a reported fire near Mangas Springs. However, the blaze turned out not to be a wildland fire but a man burning weeds on his own property. The emergency crews returned to their respective stations without incident.
