Las Cruces to Ft. Bayard: An alert has been posted for the funeral procession for New Mexico State Police Sergeant Thomas Vitale. 

Thursday May 24, 2018: Traffic will encounter slow moving congestion in the Las Cruces area of Frontage Road 1035 (Stern Drive) from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm with traffic entering Interstate 10 at mile post 142 (University Ave). From 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm procession will travel west to Deming, exiting at exit 82A onto US 180 (Silver City) from Deming to Fort Bayard National Cemetery for the final resting place.  Traffic will be allowed to resume behind the procession. Motorists are asked to reduce speed, obey posted signs, and watch for emergency personnel. Please expect delays.
