Truth or Consequences, NM, June 10, 2018—Smoke was reported yesterday from an area known as the Kitty Litter Mine in the Black Range Ranger District, Gila National Forest.

The slightly greenish-tinted smoke was seen near Kline Ranch, about 600 feet south of Highway 59. It appears to be from the mine shaft from the defunct Kitty Litter Mine. The legal description of this area is T10S, R10W, Section 16. An engine was dispatched, and cautionary signs are being placed on Highway 59.
