The Fiesta Latina, which took place last weekend in WNMU’s Old James Stadium, had something for everyone. In addition to vendors, films, lectures, music and a tequila tasting, there were special activities in an area set aside for youngsters to enjoy. Face painting, a slip-and-slide, crafts and other fun things were available. Crafts included pottery, weaving and painting Cascarones, a good luck symbol made of eggshells and paper, with dried beans inside. The finished Cascaron would be broken over the head of someone you wish to have good luck.
