General Information: The Noland Fire was discovered on September 7 burning in timber and grass at approximately 3 acres.

Fire Operations: There are two type 6 engines, one hot shot crew, and two small handcrew modules on the fire monitoring and assessing and protecting values at risk. The boundaries for this fire are Forest Road 4, Forest Road 14A and constructed handlines; and it is remaining within the boundaries.

Fire Behavior: The fire is smoldering on the ground in timber and grass understory. Fire growth is expected to be minimal.

Weather: Light precipitation was received on the fire last weekend, but there will be a drying period over the next few days.

Smoke: Smoke settles in drainages and washes and begins drifting about 9:00 p.m. and peaking at 6:00 a.m., when they become unhealthy for sensitive groups. Smoke-sensitive individuals and people with respiratory or heart disease are encouraged to take precautionary measures such as leaving windows closed.
