People from as far away as Alaska were in Silver City Sunday to celebrate Día de los Muertos and take the opportunity to shop “Love Local” downtown. Market Street from Bullard to Texas, was the scene of the festivities, with booths, face painting, food, music and fun. Folks and their four-footed friends meandered along Market and later in the afternoon lined Bullard Street waiting for the parade.
