Christopher Saxman, who hosted the show at his gallery and studio, exhibits several of his photos of Old Mexico.
The exhibition, Modern Art Meets Old Mexico features three artists—Mimi Peterson and her abstract paintings, Art Peterson and his wood objects, many created from found or discarded wood pieces, and Christoper Saxman, photographer, opened on Nov. 9. It continues to Dec. 9.
Saxman hosted the opening at The Studio of C. Saxman in Hanover, where the pieces are on exhibit. To reach the studio, take Fierro Road off NM 152, then turn into the first driveway right after the Hanover Post Office.
Saxman lived for a time in Mexico and took advantage of the photographic opportunities. Mimi Peterson specializes in abstract painting in various media. Art Peterson takes odd bits of wood, whether found or discarded, and turns them into pieces of art.
