On a brisk and sunny November Saturday, the Silver City Farmers’ Market held its Holiday Market Festival. About 20 vendors of produce and craft items had booths, and scores of people were there, enjoying the ambience and the music. People were stocking up on fall produce and eyeing crafts for gifts. Andrea Warner of Local Food Connects said the Wednesday Market will continue at Mountain Ridge Ace Hardware from 10 am to 1 pm and that shoppers could still use their EBT cards to double their money for purchasing fresh produce.
