Calvary Chapel School's project this year was to raise money and package bags of dehydrated food for Feed the Need.

School Principal Dea Gros said the goal was the raise $50,000 for the effort. "We passed our goal."

On Friday, Dec. 7, 2018, students of the school, teachers and adult volunteers packed 10,080 bags which filled 42 boxes with 40 bags in each box. Thirty-six of the boxes were to be sent to Haiti and the remaining six boxes would stay in Grant County to feed the hungry.

Each bag had six servings of a vegetarian combination of soy protein, vegetables, vitamins and rice that tasted like chicken, Gros said.
