Although it was delayed by the previous night’s snowfall, Grant County’s newly elected officials were sworn into office Friday morning by Magistrate Court Judge Maurine Laney. Witnessed by a standing room only crowd, Sheriff Frank Gomez, County Assessor Raul Turrieta, Probate Judge Mary Ann Sedillo, and County Commissioners Javier Salas (District 2) and Chris Ponce (District 1) each took the oath of office.
