Unofficial results of the March 6, 2012, regular municipal election in Silver City show incumbent Mayor James Marshall being re-elected by a wide margin over his write-in candidate challenger Cody S. Petty.

Marshall received 507 votes to Petty's 91.

District 2 Councilor will be Pauline "Polly" Hassler-Cook, who received 159 votes.

In District 3, incumbent José A. Ray Jr. won over his challenger Thomas W. Joines by a vote of 154-30.

Michael Shawn Morones retained his District 4 Councilor Seat with 111 votes.

Turn-out was extremely low, with 8.60 percent of the 7226 registered voters submitting ballots.
