The Grant County Sheriff’s Department blotter for Wednesday, Mar. 20, that appears in Saturday’s Beat, stated a young female around 10 to 12-years-of-age was reported by a caller to be sitting on the side of Highway 180 at the junction of Highway 61. A deputy advised contact was made and stated she was walking to Silver. No other information was given in the blotter.
Additional information received from GCSD revealed the “10 to 12-year-old” was actually an approximate 30-year-old female, known to the GCSD as being a semi-transient, who refused any assistance.
