Sen. Gabriel Ramos said: "We had a heck of a good session. I was able to fund $3.97 million on projects throughout Dist. 28 out of the $34 million in requests I had throughout my District."

"My portion of the monies funded to the Tour of The Gila and the Heart of The Gila Trails was $50,000 as other Representatives and Senators also contributed to equal the amount of $200,000," he continued. "I had plenty of conversation with the tourism Secretary as she was very supportive of the tour and this is why the appropriation was going to be funneled through her Tourism department. I also appropriated $200,000 of the $375,000 for WNMU Baseball and Women’s Soccer only after consulting with Dr. Shepard of WNMU. We knew that this was not going to be enough monies to fund the full budget, but we thought the amount would be a good start to prep for the programs. My projects were not the only projects Pocket Vetoed as there were approximately $7.9 million in projects pocket vetoed throughout the state."
