Silver City, NM, June 6, 2019—For Immediate Release. The Gila National Forest, Silver City Ranger District is lifted Forest Order 06-19-006 Cameron Creek Prescribed Fire Closure effective 8:00 a.m. on June 7, 2019.

Please use caution in any area that has been recently burned. Rolling rocks can be a hazard in a burn area. Footing could be tricky. Trails may have hazardous trees whose root systems could be weakened. Often, burnt branches and tops fall from these trees and could cause serious injury or death. Always be aware of your surroundings, watch your footing and look out for hazards.
