Mimbres, NM, June 8, 2019 — The Wilderness Ranger District had planned to conduct a prescribed fire in the unit known as L-T East. The planned start date was today, June 8, but due to resource availability it has been cancelled. There is currently no future planned date.

The L-T East Rx Burn is located off Hwy 35 near mile marker 16, east of the Old GOS Ranch, between Lincoln Canyon (FSR 4079T), Forest Road 4079R and North Star Road (also known as the Wall Lake Road, FSR 150). The project is a 2,700 acre broadcast burn and will take several days to complete.
