Summary:
The Spring Fire, is burning on National Forest System lands in Sierra County, New Mexico. This fire is burning in an area that has had both natural and prescribed fire. The values include multiple historic structures, private lands, wildlife, and fencing. The strategy for this fire is confine and contain.

Smoke from fire rises up and away during the daytime, but in the evening smoke can pool back down in canyons, drainages, and basins. Smoke is anticipated to be minimal today on the fire as lower temperatures and higher humilities arrive in the area.
