Silver City, NM, July 1, 2019 – Gila Regional Medical Center is pleased to welcome Rose Lopez, RN, MSN, MBA-HCM, as the new Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) at GRMC. Lopez previously served as Chief Nursing Officer at North Central Surgical Center in San Antonio, TX and Muskogee Community Hospital in Muskogee, OK where she served as System Chief Nursing Officer.

“Ms. Lopez has an extensive background in nursing leadership, and a proven record of successfully improving patient care experience and employee satisfaction,” said Taffy Arias, CEO of Gila Regional Medical Center. “With the growth and expansion of services at Gila Regional Medical Center it was most important for us to add a Chief Nursing Officer with the skillset to help our nurses reach their potentials.”

“My vision for nursing is to provide a level of patient care that is second to none in New Mexico,” said Lopez. “Seasoned nurse recruitment along with partnering with universities will be a top priority.”
