The Santa Clara Village Trustee meeting took place Thursday night at Santa Clara City Hall. On the agenda were four budget resolutions including the final budget. All were approved by the council. In the Mayors Report, Richard Bauch announced that Viola Stone Park will be closed for up to two weeks due to the construction project taking place in that part of Bayard Street. Movies in the park are now over. Also on that thought, the Mayor recognized and thanked all the donors that have offered or already given movie screens to the village to replace the one stolen a few weeks ago.

HMS had an open house at the Santa Clara Senior Center last week and around thirty people were there to welcome them to Santa Clara.

In other Village business, trustees approved one variance for a travel trailer being lived in at this time on private property. The resident stated that the person in the trailer will be moving out at the end of the month. One of the resolutions passed will finalize the last phase of the replacement water system the Village has been working on for several years’ running. Two new hires were also approved for the Maintenance Department.

The next Village Council Meeting will be Thursday Aug. 8 2019 at 6 p.m.
