SILVER CITY, NM, August 7, 2018 -- After 11 amazing years dishing up food, entertainment, and atmosphere to Grant County and its visitors, it is with heavy heart that The Buckhorn Saloon and Opera House announces that it will be looking for a new location as of September 30, 2019.

The owner of the building and land, Dink Tatsch, made the decision on Monday of this week to terminate the lease with the Buckhorn's proprietor, Thomas Bock. The property has been on the market for sale for over three years, and Mr. Tatsch felt it was time to make the change.

Chef Thomas Bock thanks his loyal customers and visitors for an excellent run in the most unique location in the mountains of Pinos Altos, NM, and encourages everyone to continue to come on up to The Buckhorn often in the next fifty-four days to enjoy the food, camaraderie, entertainment, and of course, SPECIALS!

The Buckhorn Saloon has long been known for its warm atmosphere and diverse clientele. Located in Pinos Altos, New Mexico, the establishment on the mountain sits at 7000’ feet. Since it first opened in the 1860’s, the Buckhorn has been a gathering place for great food, music and camaraderie. Whether it’s strangers sharing tables, standing on the front porch to watch the sunset, or basking in the warmth of the fire in the winter, locals, world travelers and people from all walks of life have been at home in this historic bar.
