The 28th Annual Run to Copper Country put on by the Copper Country Cruizers surrounded Gough Park on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2019 with 137 entries from out of town and another 15 cars in Gough Park shown by members.

This year, the photographer was drawn to the oldest vehicles, and she admits to being a bit biased in favor of old Fords. Unlike Chevy owners who consider the "other" brand an F-word. 

But not all cars belonged to these two camps. A 1960 Rambler by Dan Goude of Arizona, represented the model that took part in a contest to cross the U.S. The Rambler model won the prize for most economical at 33 miles per gallon. 

A exhibitor with a sense of macabre humor had an old hearse decked out with animal skeletons in front and a driver and passenger and "corpse" inside, partaking of fake brains.

Exhibitors' vehicles had to be 1980 or older models, but one exhibitor, also from Arizona, showed her 1990 Chrysler TC Maserati, built in Italy. She was banished to the parking lot because her vehicle wasn't old enough to qualify for exhibiting with the others. 

Folks from near and far had set up under the trees at Gough Park to enjoy the breeze, not only of the weather, but also shooting the breeze among friends.

The Copper Country Cruizers are looking for new members, with interest in cars being "a must." They hold mostly meetings and age is not a factor.
