St. Francis of Assisi is the patron saint of animals, so it was appropriate to have a blessing of people's pets at St. Francis Newman Center Parish on Oct. 5, 2019. Father Bartholomew Ezenwelem performed the celebration with readings and sprinkling of holy water on the animals.
