Free Accucut Fabric Die Cutting and Beading on Textiles Demonstrations featured at Silver City Fiber Arts Festival
 
The Silver City Fiber Arts Festival will be held November 11-12, 2011 at the Grant County Conference Center located at 3031 East Highway 180 East. This two day event celebrates all aspects of fiber art. There will be a juried vendor hall of fine fiber art and supplies, classes, demonstrations, make and take projects and exhibits.
 
“The fiber art community of Silver City and surrounding areas has really pulled together to offer some fantastic free demonstrations at the Fiber Art Festival“, states Chairperson Lynn Welsch. The Festival is a great opportunity to learn about new fabric art products and see how they are used“.
 
Judy Billings from Aunt Judy‘s Attic will be demonstrating the Accucut Fabric Die Cutting Machine at the festival on Friday, November 11th at 3pm. Judy will demonstrate how easily it works to make strips, triangles, die cut shapes, and other traditional or contemporary quilt pattern shapes.
 
Karen Rossman of A Bead or Two will also be demonstrating Beading on Textiles at 4pm on Friday, November 11th. Karen will offer an overview of types of beads, different fibers to work on with beads, techniques, tools, and more! She will also be showing specialty beading techniques.
 
The Silver City Fiber Arts Festival is a fundraising event for the SW Women's Fiber Arts Collective. Admission is free and donations are appreciated.
 
The SW Women's Fiber Arts Collective, is a non-profit that provides the means to learn and earn an income from the fiber arts.
