PORTALES, NM - Oasis State Park with the support of the Friends of Oasis present the “21st Annual Kids Fishin' Clinic” on November 5, 2011. Kids ages 6-17 years old and their parents or adult chaperones are invited to attend. Each participant MUST pre-register with Oasis by calling the park at 575-356-5331 and provide the child's name, age, adult's name and phone number. Register early, as there are a limited number of slots available. The entry fee for the clinic will be two cans of food per child, which will be donated to Eastern NM Food Bank. Starting at 9:00 a.m., the clinic will run through approximately ten stations of learning. Lunch at noon will be served by the Community Services Center, Retired Senior Volunteer Program of Portales. Following lunch every registered child will be eligible for a door prize thanks to the VFW Post 3280! Check the weather forecast and please dress appropriately for the weather that day.
 
Please be reminded that those 12 years of age and older must have a valid NM fishing license.
