SANTA FE - Governor Susana Martinez announced today that she has made appointments to the Board of Examiners for Architects, the Construction Industries Commission, the State Workforce Development Board, the Board of Veterinary Medicine, the Spaceport America Regional Spaceport District, and the Information Technology Commission.
 
Geoffrey C. Adams of Albuquerque was appointed to the Board of Examiners for Architects. He serves as Associate Director and Associate Professor for the School of Architecture and Planning at the University of New Mexico. Adams received his Masters of Architecture, with distinction, from UNM's School of Architecture and Planning.
 
Vince Alvarado of Belen was appointed to the Construction Industries Commission. He served as Elected Business Manager/FST, Trustee, and Training Coordinator/Organizer for the Sheet Metal Workers' International Association Local Union 49. Alvarado also serves as Bond Oversight Committee Co-Chair for Ysleta Independents School District.
 
Chris Baca of Albuquerque was appointed to the State Workforce Development Board. He has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Youth Development, Inc. since 1973. He also served as Trustee at the UNM Mental Health Center and was Chairman of the Albuquerque Family Health Care Centers. Baca received an MPA from the University of New Mexico.
 
Timothy A. Rabon of Alamogordo was appointed to the State Workforce Development Board. He currently serves as Projects Coordinator for Southwest General Construction, Inc. He also serves as President of Mesa Verde Enterprises, Inc., and is a board member of the Otero County Electric Cooperative.
 
Dr. Rebecca Rowley of Clovis was appointed to the State Workforce Development Board. She is the current President of Clovis Community College. She is a member of the Adjunct Graduate Faculty at New Mexico State University. Rowley received a PhD in English from the University of New Mexico.

Marybeth Ann Brown-Pirrone of Las Cruces was appointed to the Board of Veterinary Medicine. She serves as Professor of Nursing for the Registered Nursing program at Anamarc College. She is a member of the American Nurses Association. Brown-Pirrone received her MSN from California State University, Long Beach.
 
Gerald LaFont of Elephant Butte was appointed to the Spaceport America Regional Spaceport District. He currently serves as a City Commissioner for the city of Elephant Butte and is the owner of Lakeside RV Park. He received his undergraduate degree from New Mexico State University.
 
Mark W. Morris of Albuquerque was appointed to the Information Technology Commission. He is the Co-Founder and CEO of ClosedWon LLC. He also served as Vice President of U.S. Sales and Marketing for ADLINK Technologies Inc. Morris received an MBA from the University of New Mexico.
