SANTA FE Nick Maniatis, director of the New Mexico Film Office, announced today The Tin Star, a production of Warner Horizon Television/Turner Network Television, is filming a pilot episode of a western drama series in New Mexico. The Tin Star, shooting in Galisteo, La Cienega and Valle Calderas, began production in late October and will run through the beginning of November.
The production will employ at least 130 New Mexico crew members and more than 350 principal and background talent.
The Tin Star features Cam Gigandet (best known for his role of James in "Twilight"), David Denman and Keir O'Donnell who play the title roles of the Flynn brothers. Other stars include Academy Award winner Keith Carradine, Karen Allen, Donal Logue, Ana de la Reguera, Shannon Lucio and Eric Lange. Guest Stars Anthony LaPaglia and Bill Sadler.

The Tin Star is a western series set in the 1880's and tells the story of three brothers who step in to save the town of Gateway when the sheriff, who is also their father is murdered, pitting them against a corrupt cattle baron determined to make the town his own.
