SANTA FE - The New Mexico Economic Develoment Partnership (NMEDP), the state of New Mexico's business recruiting organization, launched its search today for president and chief executive officer.
 
"With a talented workforce, competitive land and utility costs and a great quality of life, New Mexico is a state that can provide many opportunities for success for businesses looking to relocate or expand," said Economic Development Secretary Jon Barela whose agency oversees the Partnership. "We are seeking the right person can promote the state to key business decision makers and recruit companies which will create jobs for New Mexicans."
 
The NMEDP board of directors is seeking an experienced economic development professional with 10 or more years of experience to lead the organization. The successful candidate will be a performance-oriented individual with a progressive track record of management within economic development organizations and is primarily focused on leading and participating in the business development and recruiting process.
