Truth or Consequences, NM, May 8, 2017 ' For Immediate Release. It's spring time again and do you know what that means? Smokey Bear is out of hibernation and spreading his message about campfire safety and overall safe practices in the woods in Sierra County. He was recently spotted at the 2017 Fiesta Days Parade riding in the U.S.D.A. Forest Service's oldest fleet vehicle, a 1925 Dodge Brothers truck! Coupled with the Black Range Ranger District's engine and fire personnel, they were a crowd favorite with many smiles on kid's faces as Smokey rolled by!
