"Travels with Darley" to film in Silver City

Silver City, NM – The Silver City Arts & Cultural District (SCACD) is excited to welcome Travels with Darley, a hit travel show on PBS, to Silver City next week.

Partnering with the United States Forest Service and National Forest Service, Travels with Darley: America's National Forests takes its viewers on journeys through treasured American landscapes and their gateway communities, reaching and inspiring an audience in the millions to travel, explore, and serve as responsible stewards for the United States' national forests and their associated communities.

Darley, star of "Travels with Darley" and "Equitrekking," has received five Emmy nominations for her talents in hosting, writing, and producing, and has been awarded back-to-back North American Travel Journalist Awards for Best Travel Broadcast, the Merit Award for Best Travel Book, and the Inspiring Woman Award from Women in Philanthropy and Leadership.

Working with the SCACD, Travels with Darley will film in and around Silver City for a couple of days, highlighting the downtown Historic District and its vibrant arts scene and local eateries, as well as the nearby Continental Divide Trail and Gila National Forest and the recreational opportunities they provide.
