UUFSC Fellowship BuildingThe Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Silver City is pleased to announce that construction is starting on a new area for children's religious education. The room will be set up so the youngsters can learn UU traditions in comfortable and friendly surroundings.

"On September 10, along with the regular service, we'll have an "Ice Cream Sundae". RE-gistration kick-off event as part of our Family Program. Our intent is to "formalize" our RE (Religious Education) Program by asking families to complete a short registration packet in order to gather some additional information about what families want and need from the program," said Frank Guevara, Family Programs Director. "To highlight this kick-off event, we invite all to join us in making ice-cream sundaes after the service."

playing in the area slated for renovation.Guevara said that in addition to the scheduled family programs, which take place on the second and fourth Sundays of the month, childcare will be available to families who want to attend services on Sundays when the family program is not offered.

"In these unsettled times, many families are looking for a spiritual community that reflects their values," said Barbara Gabioud, Board President. "Unitarian Universalists have a history of working for social justice and equality that reaches back hundreds of years."

The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Silver City is a diverse group of religious independents seeking knowledge, spiritual sustenance, fellowship and opportunities for service to others. Our programs encompass humanism, liberal Christianity, earth-based spirituality, Buddhism and many other traditions. The members themselves plan and present the Sunday programs.
