The Silver City Grant County Chamber of Commerce will host an event during National School Choice Week on Thursday - January 25, 2018 from 5:30 to 8:00 pm titled: “Promoting Educational Alternatives.”

You are invited by the Silver City Grant County Chamber of Commerce to visit the Grant County Veterans Memorial Business & Conference Center located at 3031 Highway 180 East in Silver City to learn from local alternative schools about the educational opportunities available to your family.

National School Choice Week, held January 21-27, is the world’s largest celebration of opportunity in education shining a spotlight on effective education options for children- including traditional public schools, public charter, magnet, and private schools, as well as, online academies and homeschooling. The NSCW is non-partisan and non-political, they do not advocate for OR against any government action.

This event is free. All proceeds from participating alternative school fundraising efforts will go to them. Call the Silver City Grant County Chamber of Commerce and Conference Center with any questions 575-538-3785.

Aldo Leopold, El Grito Head Start, Calvary Christian Academy and Guadalupe Montessori will have representatives at the event to discuss their schools with the public..
