Silver City, NM, February 2, 2018—The Gila National Forest will be doing software updates to all of their computers. These updates may cause a slow down to some operations such as the selling of permits, maps, etc. All sales during the migration will need to be cash only. Try to bring the exact change for the items you will be purchasing; i.e., Forest Service maps are $14 and fuelwood permit minimum purchase is $20. America the Beautiful passes are variably priced from $20 to $80. Please check with the district offices for exact pricing.

The schedule of planned updates are as follows:

· Black Range Ranger District, 1804 N Date Street, T or C: February 5-6

· Wilderness Ranger District, 3697 Hwy 35 N, Mimbres: February 8

· Silver City Ranger District/Supervisor’s Office, 3005 E Camino del Bosque: February 12-15
