The Gila Chapter of Back Country Horsemen is holding two competitive trail rides at the NAN Ranch the weekend of April 20-22. Now is the time to start conditioning your horse to complete the two day A Ride or the one day B Ride.

Competitive trail riding is a timed event over beautiful trails with the challenge of natural obstacles such as water crossings, steep uphills, fallen logs, and unexpected wildlife. The object is to complete the trail within a minimum and maximum time frame with your horse or mule in excellent condition. It is not a race. The event will be judged by Jerry Weil, Veterinarian Judge, and Jerry Simms, Horsemanship Judge.
