Silver City MainStreet will be one of fifty-three non-profits participating in Give Grandly 2018. It will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 7th Street and Bullard Street on the opening day of the Farmers Market. Give Grandly brings the region together as one community, raising money and awareness for our local nonprofits during the 24-hour online giving challenge and in person giving at the event.

MainStreet has been busy this year preparing to launch the “Stories from our Streets” walking tour, getting the flower planters going downtown, and helping with the Give Grandly event. With the help of WNMU students, Zulema Hernandez and Jeanne Miller, we have produced a new downtown guide with map listing the 145 businesses in our downtown district. We also have a brand-new website where you can learn all about MainStreet’s projects and programs.

Silver City MainStreet is truly a grassroots organization that relies on donations to operate. We always need funds for daily operations and projects and are also raising funds to make the Silco Theater green, by installing solar panels on the roof. We also want to decorate downtown Silver City for the holidays and make it a special place for families to enjoy.

If you would like to donate to Silver City MainStreet, please come by our table at Give Grandly.

The mission of Silver City MainStreet is "To encourage a vibrant, historic downtown Silver City which is recognized as the heart of our diverse community." Please visit our website, www.silvercitymainstreet.com to learn more.
