Best of Show in Fine Art, Photography and Crafts, 2017The Grant County Art Guild will start the summer season of their gallery at 14 Golden Avenue in Pinos Altos with the Members Opening Show on Friday, May 4, 2018 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The artists will be there to talk to visitors about their work and light refreshments will be served.

The judge for the show is local artist and gallery owner Rita Sherwood. She will judge fine arts, photographs and crafts by the GCAG members in many media including oil, acrylic and watercolor painting, digital photography and portrait photography, and ceramics and metal jewelry.

The hosts for this week-end are Arlene and Eric Sarkela who paint landscapes in acrylic. Arlene also paints in watercolor, pastel and oil and Eric does pencil, pen and ink drawing, wood burning and chain mail jewelry. The gallery will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and will be open each week-end until mid October.

The Best of Show in Fine Art, Photography and Crafts will receive a $25.00 award this year. Last year's winners are shown.
