Saturday, May 19 – 8 am, Field Trip.

We will meet at the Walmart parking lot on the south side at 8 a.m. We will sign in and connect ride sharing there. We will leave at 8:30 a.m. Our field trip this month will be to collect calcite, rhyolite, brown and yellow jasper, honey onyx, and druzy quartz within the Mahoney Mining District which includes 9 large mines and dozens of open pits. Bring lunch, water, chairs, cameras, binoculars, hammers, buckets and bags.
