wildwestweaving rsJoin us for this delightful opportunity to learn traditional Navajo dyeing, carding, spinning and weaving techniques with award winning Dine master weaver Marie Sheppard.This five day workshop will culminate in an artist critique, reception and book signing by author Sharleen Dougherty. Students will embark on a journey through Navajo culture: dyeing with natural dyes and using wool from sheep raised by Marie on the Navajo reservation to weave beautiful works of art. No experience is necessary but a willingness to learn or a desire to hone your skills are required.

You will leave the workshop with everything you need to continue your craft including a loom, beater and battens.

$50.00 Monday Carding and spinning in morning, dyeing with natural dyes in the afternoon. Catered lunch optional ($20 RSVP). Max. 20 people.
$325.00 Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday students will create a 15"x15" Navajo weaving. Max 9 people
Saturday students will receive critique on their piece and are invited to attend the reception and book signing.
