On Sunday, July 15, 2018, the Gila Native Plant Society is conducting a field trip to Sheep Corral in the Pinos Altos Range; meet a little before 8 a.m. in the south parking lot of the WNMU Fine Arts Center Theatre on North Kentucky Street for carpooling. Bring a high-clearance vehicle if you have one. A moderate hike, under the shade of conifers and Gambel's oak. Wear sturdy shoes and a hat and carry plenty of water. Be aware that the destination may change in case of fire, flood or just more plants popping up elsewhere – the meeting place is always the same. Free and open to the public.
