July 22, at 10 am, 3845 North Swan Street - "Imagination Library: How Reading Aloud to Young Children Acknowledges their Inherent Worth and Inspires a Love of Learning" - Nancy Stephens, Executive Director of the Imagination Library of Grant County, will provide an overview of the nonprofit organization's work and highlight national and local research supporting the assertion that reading aloud to young children is one of the most joyful and important ways caregivers can contribute to a child's healthy development. She will also discuss the benefits of book ownership and storytelling for people of all ages. Established in 2010, the Imagination Library of Grant County's mission is to promote literacy for all Grant County babies, toddlers and preschoolers by delivering books to their homes monthly and to support the expansion of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library throughout New Mexico.

This will be a Family Program Sunday and children of all ages are invited to participate.

This Sunday, the children will learn about "Taking Responsibility for my Words and Actions." Parental and community input and participation are welcome and encouraged.
There will be coffee and conversation after the service, and visitors are always welcome.
