For the week, beginning Monday July 23, 2018 at 08:00 a.m. and ending Monday July 30, 2018 at 8:00 a.m. Officers of the Silver City Police Department responded to 275 calls for service, had 424 self-initiated activity, and made 24 arrests. Of those arrests, 4 were for DWI, 1 for possession of drug paraphernalia, and 1 for possession of narcotics.

Included in the above calls for service are 17 alarms, 7 burglaries, 3 fights, 11 domestic disturbances, 1 accident w/ property damage, 1 accident w/injuries, 2 larceny, 1 intoxicated driver, 4 criminal damage to property, 4 loud music, 6 traffic complaints, 1 suicide, 13 utility complaints, 1 assault, 2 battery, 2 narcotics violations, 8 suspicious vehicles, 2 weapons fired, 2 disturbances, 3 shoplifting, 1 parking violation, 1 abandoned 911, 6 harassment, 29 welfare checks, 26 animal complaints, 4 civil standby, 9 informational complaints, 1 breaking and entering, 4 reckless drivers, 3 motorist/citizen assists, 1 abandoned vehicle, 1 custodial interference, 2 unwanted subjects, 3 fireworks, 15 suspicious persons, 1 falsely obtaining services, 3 smoke complaints, 2 civil matter, 34 requests for public services, 3 criminal trespass warning, 9 suspicious activity, 26 citizen assists, 1 DWI, 2 vehicle burglary, 3 private property accidents, 2 hit and run accidents, 4 vehicle accidents no injury, 2 vehicle accidents with injury
