Silver City, NM – At its regular monthly meeting on August 7, 7:00 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 3845 N. Swan, PFLAG Silver City will show the film Bullied.  With school about to start, parents, middle school and high school students are encouraged to attend.  Refreshments will be served.

Bullied is the story of Jamie Nabozny whose bullying ordeal began when he was in middle school and continued into high school.  But Jamie decided to take a stand — against the bullying he endured and the bullying that he knew other students endured.  He went to court and fought for the right to be safe at school, even if you are gay.  His inspiring story offers hope for the millions of LGBTQ students who still don’t feel safe at school.

Founded in 1973 after the simple act of a mother publicly supporting her gay son, PFLAG is the nation's largest family and ally organization.  For more information, call 575-590-8797 or visit www.pflagsilver.org.
