Jill Steidl, PA-C, HMS Physician Assistant, provides primary care services at the HMS Cliff-Gila Community Health Center.r City, NM (August 28, 2018) – To better serve the needs of the community, and due to available resources once again, the HMS Cliff-Gila Community Health Center is now open five days a week.
The HMS Cliff-Gila Community Health Center, which was reduced to three days a week this past January, is now open to patients every Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm (closed for lunch from 12:00pm to 1:00pm). "To make our primary care services more accessible to those that HMS serves, and because we recently hired two mid-level providers to serve Grant County, HMS has returned the HMS Cliff-Gila Community Health Center patient schedule to five days a week," stated Dan Otero, HMS Chief Executive Officer.
"My heartfelt thanks go out to Jill Steidl, PA-C, our primary care provider at the HMS Cliff-Gila Community Health Center. Over the past nine months, Jill helped HMS to cover the primary health care needs of both the Cliff-Gila and Mimbres Valley communities, and it's because she truly cares about improving the health and well-being of her patients. HMS couldn't have kept its doors open at both community health centers during this time of transition without Jill's unwavering flexibility and assistance," added Otero.
Janie Vargas, PA-C, HMS Physician Assistant, who now provides primary care services at the HMS Mimbres Valley Clinic.HMS recently hired Janie Vargas, PA-C, HMS Physician Assistant, and the hours at the HMS Mimbres Valley Clinic will remain the same – open every Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00am to 5:00pm (closed for lunch from 12:00pm to 1:00pm). Otero said, "Janie is the permanent primary care provider at the HMS Mimbres Valley Clinic, and we are thrilled that she has joined our team. HMS is focused on continuing to offer consistent, quality health care services to the communities of Cliff-Gila, Mimbres, and the surrounding areas."
