Regarding a Study of the Feasibility of a Combined Small Creative Business Incubator & Maker Space

Silver City— September 18, 2018 — Southwest New Mexico Arts, Culture and Tourism (SWNMACT) and its partner, Western New Mexico University, announced today that public meetings will be held on October 9 and 10 with Creative Startups, the consulting firm that will be carrying out the feasibility study for a possible incubator and/or makerspace in Grant County.  This first meeting will focus on introducing Creative Startups, the concepts of incubators and makerspaces, and hearing from the public about their interests and goals.  Dr. Alice Loy and Julia Youngs will represent Creative Startups.  (www.creativestartups.org)

Meetings will be held at 9:00 am on the 9 and 10, and again at 2:00 pm on the 9 in the Seminar room on the 3rd floor of the Student Union building on the WNMU campus.  Since College Avenue is still under construction, access is via E St. or 12th Avenue & Kentucky.  A map is available on the preregistration page.  Preregistration is required as seating is limited.  There is no cost to attend.  Go to www.swnmact.org to preregister and to download the map and agenda, or call SWNMACT at 575-538-5560.  Contact: info@silvercityacd.org.
