Mimbres, NM, October 9, 2018—For Immediate Release.  The Gila National Forest, Wilderness Ranger District will be hosting an open house between 4:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17. The purpose is to answer any questions and show maps with information about the Elk Pasture Prescribed Burn.

The Elk Pasture project, which is planned for 320 acres, is located south of NM Highway 35, west of Camp Thunderbird; west of the private land along Ponderosa Road, off Forest System Road 4085Q (Elk Pasture Road).  This project is funded in part by the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
