2018 hms livestock purchase imageCollin Golden and Jill Steidl, PA-C, together at this year’s Grant County Fair Junior Livestock Sale.Silver City, NM (October 11, 2018) – Hidalgo Medical Services (HMS) and Jill Steidl, PA-C, HMS Certified Physician Assistant, purchased a pig from Collin Golden at the Grant County Fair Junior Livestock Sale this year. The meat will be donated to the Gila Valley Mobile Food Pantry to help feed the local community. HMS is a proud supporter of the Cliff-Gila Grant County Fair.

Steidl is the primary care provider at the HMS Cliff-Gila Community Health Center.  HMS and Steidl have been buyers together at the livestock sale for more than 10 years. "We do this both to support Cliff-Gila individuals and families in need and to support community youth members that participate in the County FFA and 4-H programs. It's a way of giving back to the community that supports HMS and the HMS Cliff-Gila Community Health Center," said Steidl.

“As we have for many years, HMS appreciates the chance to assist the Gila Valley Mobile Food Pantry and those it serves with this donation,” added Dan Otero, HMS Chief Executive Officer. According to their Facebook page, the Gila Valley Mobile Food Pantry is an all volunteer community organization distributing over 7,500 pounds of food to 100 families monthly, and all contributions to their organization go to the purchase of food.
