As part of National 4-H week which was October 7-13, Grant County 4-H held a food drive. The six 4-H clubs in Grant County competed against each other to see which club could donate the most food. This is the second year that Grant County 4-H has participated in a county wide community service. The winning club was the Wrangler 4-H Club led by Ann Pavlakovich. The club voted to use some of their club funds and buy a large amount of canned goods to donate. In second place was the White Signal 4-H club, third was the Spurs 4-H club, fourth Mangus 4-H club and fifth was the Lone Mountain 4-H club. All of the food that was collected was donated to the St. Francis Newman Center Parish in Silver City for those who are less fortunate.
