November 11 at 10:00 a.m., 3845 North Swan Street -  "Justice Across Borders" -

From the northern triangle of Central America, to deserts of Mexico and New Mexico, to detention centers in the United States, the road away from danger is paved with injustices. Partnering with grassroots allies along the Central American migration trail, the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee addresses root causes, supports migrants in transit and protects the right to seek asylum. An inspiring sermon by Angela Herrera from First Unitarian Albuquerque entitled “Asylum” will be presented. Music will be provided by Joe Neri and Andy Payne. The program, hosted by Ron Gabioud, is an opportunity to celebrate grassroots partnership, support human rights and learn about just four of these individuals – the Guests at Your Table.

This will be a Family Program Sunday and children of all ages are invited to participate. November will continue the series called Intangible Gifts, and today the children will learn about “The Gift of Invitation”. They will explore what invitation means and the multiple ways to communicate that someone is invited.

The youth religious exploration group is using the Riddle and Mystery curriculum, which poses a big question each month. In October the big question will be "What Are We Going?" which will explore thinking how the future is developed.

There will be coffee and conversation after the service, and visitors are always welcome. If you’d like to find out more about the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Silver City, email uufellowshipofsilvercity@gmail.com or visit our website at here.
