Tuesday, December 4, 2018 (Please note the Tuesday performance), 7:00 p.m., at the Cobre High School Auditorium, Bayard NM

The Concert Band of the Southwest, under the direction of co-director Chuck Gerhart, will present its “Not Just a Holiday Concert” on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at the Cobre High School Auditorium. The performance begins at 7:00 p.m.; doors open at 6:30 p.m. Seating is open and all seats are free. Donations for our sheet music library and expenses are gratefully accepted. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, so if you need a donor letter for your taxes, just let us know. We extend many thanks to each and all our patrons who have supported our ensemble over the years.

This performance will include “Coast Guards,” a march by Karl King, arranged by James Swearingen; “Fanfare for Justice,” by Richard L. Saucedo; Charles Booker’s, “We Wish you a Merry Christmas Around the World,” a musical journey across the globe; “Crooner’s Serenade,” a medley of tunes performed by Michael Bublé, arranged for band by Justin Williams; and “Blue Christmas,” words and music by Billy Hayes and Jay Johnson, arranged by Jay Dawson.
