 The Second Annual Home and Garden Expo serves as a kick start to the summer gardening season. People from Grant County and beyond will have the opportunity to learn about backyard food production from expert local growers, and link up with local businesses that support the maintenance of homes and gardens.   Some elements of this event include:  free ongoing gardening mini-workshops taught by local growers; the Silver City Co-op Seed Share (bring seeds to share and go away with free seeds); vendor booths featuring local businesses that have home and garden supplies; children's activities sponsored by Martha Egnal of the Quadalupe Montessori School; Silent Auction; lunch and dessert for sale. Proceeds from this event go to support the operation of the Silver City Farmers' Market, as well as other Grant County Farmers' Markets.
